MACA Museum presents ‘Banksy & Street Art: The Early Years’, an exhibition of rare drawings, stencils, photographs, and paintings which provide a fascinating and revealing insight into Banksy’s early history from 1989 – 2010.

The exhibition reveals the artists who influenced Banksy, from 1970s and 80s New York such as Dondi White, Futura 2000 and Jean-Michel Basquiat to Bristol graffiti legend Robert Del Naja, co-founder of the band Massive Attack.

We also explore Banksy’s working methods and creative processes during his early years as a freehand graffiti artist in his hometown of Bristol, to his meteoric rise as one of the most important artists of the 21st century.
